Shevy Smith

Co-FOUNDER

Shevy is an LA-based composer/producer.  After signing a publishing deal as a teenager in central Kansas and working as a staff writer and touring artist in Nashville, Smith migrated to the west coast in 2008.  Shortly thereafter, she created Forte Poesy, a three pronged company which includes an educational program focusing on empowerment through songwriting, a brand of apparel and accessories created for writers of all ages, and a production company which has produced music for many national ad campaigns and commercial artists.  Smith is a ProMax Gold winner and an Emmy-nominated producer/composer.  Smith currently serves as Board Co-President for the Afghan Women's Writing Project and is a member of the Alliance of Women Film Composers. www.shevysmith.com

 
 
 
 

Khalid Reede Jones

Co-FOUNDER

Khalid is an attorney who has spent significant time practicing in private firm practice and in-house with public and private fund companies.

Throughout his career he has advocated for increased knowledge, participation and access to the invested marketplace and as an entrepreneur, Khalid co-founded an asset management company that leveraged new media technology to introduce advanced money management techniques and strategies to generations X and Y and oversaw the launch of a publicly traded fund managed by the company.

Khalid’s work and opinions have been featured in various publications and media outlets including , CNBC, NPR, The Financial Times, Fox Business, Institutional Investor and Entrepreneur Magazine amongst others.  

Khalid graduated from Wake Forest University and Stanford Law School.
